I'm a motivated Post-graduate Psychiatric Mental Health NP student seeking PMHNPs +/- Psychiatrists for clinical experiences in both psychopharmacologic and non-psychopharmacologic intervention (500hours total) across all acuities and throughout the lifespan. A percentage of clinical hours can be telemedicine. The ideal preceptor will be dynamic, holistic, and high volume as well as be passionate about mentoring and educating. I have particular interest in forensics and trauma, holistic care and intersections of inpatient/community care, but need to extend that specialized care from solid PMHNP foundations.
About me: Prior to Nursing I applied my B.A. Psychology (2001) in employment in inpatient adult and outpatient child psychiatry for 5.5 years. I became an RN in 2007 (Emergency, Education), earned my MSN in 2013 (Adult-gero Acute Care/Critical Care, Education), and completed my DNP in 2023 (Novel mixed methods project exploring the family perception of end of life in the ICU). Currently excited to expand my practice to support and help optimize the comprehensive care of individuals with psychiatric and mental health conditions as these individuals are often underserved in acute/critical care as well as beyond hospital walls into the community!
