Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
We are pleased to share with you an exciting new nursing opportunity designed to advance your scope of practice and professional growth! We are offering a post-graduate certificate program to prepare APRNs to care for acutely ill, complex adult patients. There is a financial incentive of a $5000 scholarship for tuition assistance.
Starting summer 2022, Viterbo University’s School of Nursing will offer an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate program. This program is ideal for graduates of master’s or DNP accredited primary care nurse practitioner programs with a family or adult-gerontology population focus. Certificate graduates are eligible to apply for either of the national certification exams available for this role.
Program Highlights:
- 21 credits
- 5 semesters – start in summer
- Two semesters of hybrid classes: 50% online and 50% in-person on Wednesdays
- 540 clinical hours (over three semesters)
- Placements may be available in your region
- Financial aid eligible (Minimum of three credit hours to be eligible for federal student loans)
- Scholarships available for enrolled post-graduate certificate students
The graduate nursing program has established scholarships to support certificate students during clinical rotations. For candidates starting Summer 2022, the total estimated tuition and fees is $22,000 over five semesters, plus any books, transportation, and exam fees.
