A Letter from the ASMNP President

Hello ASMNP Members!

 

My name is Eric Aguirre, and I am your appointed ASMNP President for the 2021-2023 term. I currently work as nurse practitioner at Mayo Clinic Pulmonary Department in Rochester, MN.  I am originally from Las Cruces, NM.  I have been in Rochester, MN since 2002. I am married with four children and one dog.  I have been a member of ASMNP for several years.  I am thrilled and motivated to lead ASMNP over the next two years as we continue to develop and increase our outreach in the Southeast Minnesota region.

 

Due to the current environment we are in, we are all going through some difficult times and each of us have personal challenges that we must face.  We have seen how much this pandemic has impacted many of our families, friends and colleagues.  I look forward to the day when we reconvene as an organization and we are able to network with one another. Let us continue to stay strong through these difficult times and support one another. 

 

In regard to our current board meetings, we plan to meet (via zoom for now) as a board in January 2021.  Due to the current pandemic, it is difficult to plan for the upcoming year.  The ASMNP board hopes to have a better understanding on how the year may look for us in January 2021. 

 

As always, we are interested in expanding membership and our network in the southeast Minnesota region. Your ideas are welcomed. If you have ideas on how to we can improve our organization and meet the needs of our members, please contact a board member and share your ideas.   Please feel free to share any ideas that you may have throughout the year to help our organization grow and succeed.
