This APRN-2-APRN session will be an overview of Home Birth in Illinois and why it is growing. A review of the literature on safety of Home Birth/Midwifery Care including Benefits, Risks, and barriers will be included.
Learning Objectives
Participants will self-report increased knowledge of the benefits, risks and barriers related to Home Birth/Midwifery care in Illinois.
Speakers
Experienced Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. Skilled in Nursing Education, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Critical Care Nursing, and Healthcare Management. Strong healthcare services professional with a DNP focused in Nursing, Women's Health from UIC. Owner Labor of Love Midwifery and Women’s Health Services LLC.
