Jessica Richardson MSN, APRN, CNP
President
Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Concordia University in 2014. She completed her undergraduate studies at Augsburg and earned her associate degree from RCTC.
I have dedicated my career to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, since July 2004. Nursing background spans General Medical, Pulmonary Medicine, and Medical ICU, with experience as an ERT/RRT nurse. I have been deeply involved in medical missions, both locally and internationally, in places like Haiti, Nicaragua and Guatemala. These experiences inspired me to pursue advanced practice nursing specifically FNP path to allow me to provide full spectrum holistic, compassionate care to individuals of all backgrounds.
I continue to volunteer as a nurse practitioner whenever opportunities arise, including at the Salvation Army Good Samaritan Clinic since 2014. I have held a variety of NP positions, including General Internal Medicine, Vascular Interventional Radiology, and currently, Primary Care - Family Medicine. Additionally, “moonlighting” at Mayo Clinic Health System’s Primary Care Today clinics and occasionally working weekends at Mayo Clinic Rochester Express Care.
I currently have the opportunity to work with Family Medicine residents, medical students, psychiatry residents, nurse practitioner, and PA students.
I am passionate about providing full-spectrum care to all individuals and am expanding my practice to provide medication for opioid use disorder (Suboxone) within primary care. I enjoy enjoy teaching, mentoring, coaching and performing a variety of procedures.
Beyond work, you will find me spending time with her three children, puppy, family, and friends. I am often busy finding new ways to enjoy time away from work. I am a National Ski Patroller and traveling is one of my main hobbies. Someday I hope to visit every continent.
I have been an active member of ASMNP for several years. I am enjoying networking, advancing my clinical knowledge, and building our community of local nurse practitioners. I am eager to continue to grow our group and fostering new friendships as well as professional relationships. I am looking forward to working alongside all of you over these upcoming years. As the Vice President and Event Planner for ASMNP, I am committed to fostering meaningful member engagement, promoting professional networking, and encouraging continuing education. I am also passionate about organizing community volunteering initiatives that strengthen our organization’s ties to the community.
With over 13 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Practitioner at Mayo Clinic in Thoracic Surgery and a background in nursing across the Trauma ICU, Emergency Department, and General Care, I bring a wealth of knowledge and perspective to my role. In 2024, I had the honor of presenting at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) National Convention, an experience that deepened my dedication to supporting NPs at both the state and national levels.
I am driven to advocate for the professional growth and recognition of nurse practitioners and to ensure that ASMNP continues to thrive as a platform for collaboration and excellence in our field

As Treasurer, I ensure the accuracy of financial records and safeguard the corporation’s assets. I have been actively involved in ASMNP for many years and served as its president from 2020 to 2022. I hold a Doctorate in Nurse Practice and am board certified as an asthma educator, adult clinical nurse specialist and family nurse practitioner. With over 20 years of experience as a nurse, I have worked in various fields of nursing, including trauma, ICU, urgent care, and pulmonary care. As a Nurse Practitioner I specialized in treating patients with COPD, asthma, chronic cough, bronchiectasis, Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, and pulmonary non-tuberculous mycobacteria. I have managed complex COPD cases ranging from mild to very severe and have delivered presentations on pulmonary topics such as COPD, endobronchial valve reduction, and asthma. In my current role as a Respiratory Biologic Medical Science Liaison for AstraZeneca, I promote scientific collaboration, disseminate clinical and scientific knowledge, and enhance patient care by building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers

Nicole Callahan APRN, CNP, MS
Event Planner
Nicole Callahan, APRN, CNP, MSN is a Family Nurse Practitioner, practicing in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and the Chair of Advanced Practice Providers Professional Group (ASRM). Within REI, she partners with the Reproductive surgery team, focusing on treatment of patients with endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and mullerian anomalies. She sees patients with simple to complex infertility issues, counseling on full spectrum fertility care. Her favorite part of being a nurse practitioner is helping patients break down complex disease into a more approachable and understandable one. In her leisure, she spends her days primping her garden and biking in the summer. Each winter you can find her cross-country skiing and DIYing.
